For UK schools and trusts

Every screen in your lesson, in one calm view.

Sysora shows teachers each pupil's Chrome tab live during a lesson, with lock, focus mode, tabs and messages in one toolbar. Your IT team gets web filtering, device health and a full audit trail in the same place.

  • Pupils always see when their screen is visible
  • No keystrokes, microphone or camera
  • Every staff action recorded in the audit log
Illustration of a Sysora lesson: a toolbar with lock, focus mode, open website, close tabs, message and quick question, above a grid of pupils' screens. One screen is locked, one shows a site blocked during the lesson, and a panel shows the notice pupils see while their screen is visible.

Classroom

Teach the lesson, not the laptops.

Everything a teacher needs to keep a class on task sits in one toolbar above the screens. It works for the class you are teaching, for as long as the lesson runs.

Screenshots and clips are saved only when a teacher takes one, and are kept for staff who have access to that class.

  • Live screen view

See every pupil's current Chrome tab in a single grid while the lesson runs. Select a screen to enlarge it alongside the device's details.

  • Lock screens

Lock one pupil or the whole class, with an optional message on the lock screen. Unlock whenever you are ready to carry on.

  • Focus mode and website blocking

Keep the class on the sites the lesson needs. Anything else opens a plain block page saying it is blocked during this lesson. Save presets for lessons you teach often.

  • Open tabs and share your screen

Send everyone to the same website or resource, close tabs that are pulling attention away, or put your own screen in front of the class.

  • Messages and quick questions

Message one pupil or the whole class, or ask a quick question and watch the answers arrive as pupils send them.

  • Screenshots and short clips

Capture a screenshot or a short clip of a pupil's screen when you need a record. Live frames are never stored.

Insights

See how school devices are really used.

Browsing records from managed Chromebooks, organised so staff can answer plain questions: what was used, for how long, and what was stopped.

  • Browsing activity

Websites, categories, videos, searches, documents and apps used in Chrome on managed devices, by pupil, class or school.

  • AI tool activity

Which AI tools pupils are using, when and how often, so you can shape guidance on what is appropriate.

  • Screen time

Time spent on devices day by day, and the sites that take up most of it.

  • Flagged activity

Attempts to reach blocked sites, with the rule that stopped them, so patterns are easy to follow up.

Sysora records pages, videos, searches and documents opened in Chrome. Never page content, form entries, keystrokes or incognito tabs.

Filtering and devices

Policies and devices your IT team can stand behind.

Web filtering, device inventory and the controls around them, built so every change is deliberate, reviewable and reversible.

Web filtering policies with versions

Block categories, keep always-allow and always-block lists, and assign policies to schools and device groups. Each change is a new version you can compare, try with a dry run, then publish.

Device inventory and health

Every enrolled device with its status, health history, installed software, groups and tags. Teachers can report a device problem and IT can follow it through.

  • Audit log

Who did what, and when, for every change and every sensitive view.

  • Roles and permissions

Give teachers, IT and leaders exactly the access their job needs.

  • Two-step verification

Accounts with wider access confirm sign-in with an authenticator app.

  • Data retention

Set how long activity is kept, and it is removed when the period ends.

  • Schools and trusts

Run one school or a whole trust, with access scoped to each school.

  • SafeSearch

Enforce SafeSearch on Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo from a policy.

How it works

From set-up to first lesson in three steps.

Sysora runs in the browser for staff and as a small, visible Chrome extension on school-managed devices. There is nothing to install on staff computers.

  1. 1

    Set up your school

Add your staff, classes and rosters, and give each person a role. Pupils are records in their classes; they never get an account.

  2. 2

    Deploy the Chrome agent

Force-install the Sysora Classroom Agent on managed Chromebooks and Chrome through Google Admin console. Each device enrols itself on first run.

  3. 3

    Start a lesson

A teacher opens their class and starts a session. Screen view, focus mode and the toolbar apply to that class, and stop when the lesson ends.

Privacy

Classroom management, not surveillance.

These limits are part of how Sysora is built, not options someone can quietly switch off. They are what let teachers, pupils and parents trust it.

  • Pupils always know

Whenever a teacher can see a screen, the pupil sees a notice saying so. The agent's icon is always visible and cannot be hidden by a setting.

  • Only during a lesson

Screen view works only in an active session, for the pupils in that class, when your policy allows it. Every frame is checked, and viewing stops when the lesson ends.

  • The visible tab, nothing else

Never keystrokes, passwords, form entries, clipboard, microphone or camera. Never incognito tabs, other applications or the desktop.

  • Live view is not recorded

Only the newest frame is held, briefly, and cleared when viewing stops. A screenshot or clip is saved only when a teacher chooses to take one.

  • Everything is accountable

Staff actions and sensitive views are written to an audit log that your school can review at any time.

  • Your school stays in control

You decide who has access through roles and permissions, require two-step verification for wider access, and set how long data is kept.

The Sysora Classroom Agent is for school-owned or school-managed devices, deployed under an acceptable-use policy that pupils have been told about.

Questions

Straight answers.

What schools usually ask before they start.

Do pupils need an account?

No. Pupils never sign in to Sysora. They appear only inside the classes, devices and lessons that staff manage.

Which devices does Sysora work with?

School-managed Chromebooks and Chrome browsers (Chrome 116 or later), through the Sysora Classroom Agent extension installed by your IT team. It is not for personal devices.

Can a teacher see a pupil's screen outside a lesson?

No. Screen view only works during an active session for the teacher's own class, when your school's policy allows it, and the pupil is shown a notice the whole time.

What does Sysora record about browsing?

The pages, videos, searches and documents opened in Chrome on managed devices, and how long they were used. It never records page content, form entries, keystrokes or incognito tabs.

How do staff sign in?

With their school email address. Staff with wider access, such as IT and senior leaders, also confirm each sign-in with an authenticator app.

Ready for your next lesson?

Sign in with your school email address to open your classes. Pupils do not need an account.
